Super Trooptool

Useful tool for troop management in the Travian game. Based on the RtWW mod by waRhawK.

features

Enhancements to the original RtWW mod of Truppentool:

Added support for group management. Alliance members can be divided into groups and troop visibility can be reduced to users within their own group. Alliance leaders (generals) can still see all troops. This also works great for multi-alliance corporations.
Automatic troop insertion has been greatly enhanced, bugs fixed. Give it a try, see for yourself.
Automatic village info. Every player can let the software automatically fill in his villages with basic information (coordinates, population). This information is extracted from the Travian server. Great time-saver!
Supports Travian Trooptool Updater Greasemonkey script for easy updating your troops info.

installation

As usual, you will need web hosting running PHP and MySQL database. The installation is automatic. Simply extract the downloaded archive into a location accessible by your web server, and navigate to that location in your web browser.

To Dave: i think in february 2010: i need some time, there are many new modules (i.e. now i'm working to add a troop-chat) and all may be modified to be compatible with language files

So this is an advancement over the old Trooptool ? I was about to install trooptool_v312 but that appears to no longer be supported.

Where could I find any help to how to use this and install this? I mean right from the beginning. Didn't find any readme's or help files in there..

SOME SOLUTIONS... To everyone saying that they press the update DB and get "Failed downloading http://xxx.travian.xx x/map.sql or the file could not be saved due to file system permission restrictions!" the problem can be 2 things. One is that you dont have permission from your host to upload files larger then a certain size. (Try to go to the adress of your server and add /map.sql It should download a file. Check the size of that file and see if your host allows files of that size to be uploaded to the server. (Most free hosts dont permit more then 1mb) Also you can always try to upload the file yourself to the /data folder of your webserver The other possible problem is if you have given the correct server. It should be the full http address right after you login but without the dorf.php bit... Also make sure that your files on the server have 755 permissions for security reasons... and that the files and folders are read/write permited. (you can do this in most FTP clients by right clicking on the file and permissions). Hope it helped

to Fenjar there is a third thing: some web host can't allow users to use the php function system() [as powerful as dangerous function] In the reMOD pack we use the cURL libraries instead of system() function to solve this problem :)

Doing a fresh install, install.php just gives me a blank page. Checked all the permissions but i cannot meka install work! Any ideas?
